Gorillas: A major tourist attraction in Kigezi

Among many tourism attractions, Uganda has got the world’s most interesting wild animals ,which are about 90 per cent like humans; the mountain Gorillas . These rare mountain species are located in Mugahinga and Bwindi impenetrable National Parks in South Western Uganda.
Mghahinga is one of mountain (Volcano) ranges, which are located in Kisoro district. Bwindi impenetrable national park is also in Kisoro district, shared by Rubanda and Kanungu districts.
It’s against this tourist attractions; that Uganda has been named the 5th top tourism destination in the World. These gorillas are not only the world’s most tourist attractions to Uganda, but they are also special gorilla species that are found in mountains; hence called Mountain Gorillas. These are unique species that can’t be found everywhere in low lands. They climb as high as 4127metres above sea level.
The entrance gate to Bwind impenetrable national park in Kisoro district is called Rushaga gate ,while the entrance to the park in Rubanda district is called Ruhija gate and the entrance gate via Kanungu district is called Buhoma gate. This is how the Gorilla tracking in Bwind is organized.
One thing you should note is that; gorilla trekking or tracking is of great fun which includes; memorable experience in hills ascending and descending, bush walk through experience, short and long distances. It’s just amazing!
Uganda Wildlife Authority {UWA} has done it all, for our tourists to enjoy the tourism adventure in our country- Uganda. The Rangers are always alert and strong, as well as prepared with the manpower to help carry back to the Tourist offices, in case they get tired of moving on for tracking, or even fail to come back after tracking.
Whoever has moved with Uganda Wildlife Authority staff members will always love going back to tour Uganda. Their hospitality, calm characters and patience has created a friendly atmosphere, between gorillas and human beings.
I just can’t tell it all about Gorilla tracking in Uganda! You can start saving and plan for this amazing experience. I am waiting for you.
