Odissi cultural dance

Odissi is an ancient cultural dance form, which originated in Orissa a state in Eastern part of India.

This dance forms is performed predominantly by ladies and expresses religious stories and spiritual ideas mostly of Lord Jagannath. The Indian High Commission to Uganda, in conjunction with the Orissa Association hosted this group of dancers, to perform last Thursday at Kampala’s Kati Kati Restaurant.
