King Ceasor Mulenga supports SACCOs, Churches in Western Uganda

King Ceasor Mulenga, the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees for St. Augustine International University and Uganda’s Honorary Consulate to Vietnam, last week donated cash and construction materials towards the promotion of SACCOs, building of Churches and Schools in Kigezi and West Ankole regions.

This follows his recent donation of Shs 50 million; towards the construction the house for Bishop of West Ankole diocese. The newly consecrated Bishop Rev. Canon Johnson Twinomujuni hailed King Ceasor Mulenga for being the highest contributor of the day.

In another related good gesture, King Ceasor Mulenga, while guest of honor at the launch of Kigalama Catholic Church and ordination of the priest in Ruhinda North in Mitooma district, donated shs 100 million for Ruhinda North Women’s SACCO, where Ruhinda North Member of Parliament Hon Thomas Tayabwa hails from.

He in addition donated shs 50 million towards Mbarara Catholic University. King Ceasor Mulenga also donated 1100 bags of Cement, to the building of a new Church and all iron sheets for roofing. On the same occasion, he donated shs 7500,000 for the completion of the new Priest’s house. Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Kahinda Otafire was also in attendance.

On the 24th June 2017, he attended the Kabale University ceremony for awarding of the four prominent people doctorate degrees. Among those who received the degrees include; Festo Karwemera and State Minster for Regional Affairs Philemon Mateke among others. Afterwards, he launched Kabale females’ progressive SACCO Ltd, with the Rt.Hon Prime Minister Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda, in the company of his wife Mrs Jocelyn Rugunda. Mrs Rugunda is the Patron for the women SACCO. King Ceasor also donated the building of former Bank of Uganda on Kabale Kisoro road in Kabale municipality, to support women groups. He contributed shs 200million into the Women’s SACCO, as well as contributing an additional shs 500,000 to each of the 12 parishes’ women groups in Kabale municipality.

Among other donations made by King Ceasor Mulenga include:

  • Bishop Asili Memorial primary school was given shs 1 million towards piano and cow to the headmistress
  • Kabale trinity college band got shs 500,000
  • Two medical scholarships offered to girls from Kabale Municipality/Kabale Female progressive SACCOs.
  • One student to complete studies at Kabale University
  • One student for Medical attention; to one of the top hospitals in India called Fortis hospital.

He in addition offered:

  • Kyanamira Catholic Church; Kabale, roofing of the church
  • Rugyeyo Catholic Church; Kanungi, roofing of the Church
  • Busaba Catholic Church; Kisoro, roofing of the Church
  • Muganza Protestant Church; Kisoro, roofing of the church

He further on 25th June 2017 continued to Immaculate Heart girls Nyakibaale, to fundraise for 3000 seater Hall worth shs11bn. The guest of honor was First Lady Mrs Janet Museveni and King Ceasor Mulenga was Chief mobilizer, during the function.

During the fundraising, First Lady Janet Museveni and King Ceasor contributed shs 50m. The other fundraisers added shs 46 million and the chief guest added shs 4 million to make it shs 100million.

Auction of the Cow to Mrs Janat Museveni was done by Hon.Dr Chris Baryomunsi , Minister of State for Housing and MP for Kinkizi East. The Auction fetched shs 5m and King Ceasor doubled it to shs 10million. Other fundraisers made it to shs 5million, making the total offer to shs 20million. This was offered to school.

Auction of the cow to Bishop Callist Rubaramira by King Ceasor Augustus Mulenga, fetched a contribution of shs 5million, while other fundraisers contributed to him shs18million.  The total offer was shs23million. This was again offered back to the school.

King Ceasor further on contributed shs 2Million on behalf of the Business men, who are his friends in the districts of Kabale, Kanungu,Ntugamo, Isingiro and Mitooma; totaling to 10m

The Auction of the first Bishop of Kabale, His Grace Karanga from Tanzania Potrait was done by Gen.Henry Tumukunde; Minister of security. King Ceasor contributed shs 2million.The Auction of the twin sisters who started the school or founders portrait, was also done by Gen Tumukunde. King ceasor in addition donated shs 3million.

The Head of business entrepreneurship in Rukungiri requested King Ceasor to pay shs 500,000 for not attending his wedding which he also did.This function was attended by very highly prominent people; including Ministers from East Africa, Uganda, over 200 MPs and prominent Old Girls; who raised shs 150million.
